CETEX DLPD is potassium silicate based which hardens a wide variety of cementatious surfaces When DLPD is applied itpenetrates and reacts with the free calcium hydroxide to produce a byproductwhich fills up the pores on the surface This aids in trapping the moisture ofwet concrete which aids in curing of wet concreteADVANTAGES Penetrates into the surface to harden and decrease the porosity ofthe surfaceThis restricts the passage of water through the poresThis helps in curing of wet concrete and water proofing of setconcreteIt improves the light reflectance and on polishing the surface resultsin permanent and attractive sheenIt provides a tough protected surface that does not discolour orshow pedestrian or vehicular wear marksImproves the abrasion resistance of the surfaceIt does not cause efflorescence and is more stable than sodiumIt improves the chemical resistance of the surfaceProtects the surface against scratching or peeling thus making itdustproofConcentrated for easy transportation and can be easily appliedIt can be applied in both new as well as old constructionsIt is economical to usePROPERTIESSpecific Gravity at 25C 106 002pH Alkaline VOC Content NilAPPLICATION METHODSClean the surface before application Ifthere is coating on the surface for example curing compound etc should beremoved Fill and repair all holes cracks and deteriorated areas For bestresult the surface should be dry to allow DLPDpenetrate the pores and reactFor good result DLPD is diluted with water in 13 ratio It can be applied on cleansurface by using a lowpressure sprayer or by spreading evenly with asoftbristled broomFor Horizontal surfaces apply enough diluted DLPD to keep the surface wet for 20minutes If areas dry out before that apply more diluted DLPD In hot dry or windy conditions dampen concrete beforeapplication to prevent flash drying Remove any driedpowder residue using a stiff broom power sweeper or floor scrubbing machineFor immediate enhanced shine buff or burnish the dry concrete surface in bothdirections using an orbital floor machine or burnisher equipped with an appropriatepolishing pad This is a dry buffing operationFor vertical surfaces apply from the bottom up Formaximum penetration and desired coverage rates a wetonwet application isrecommended retreat within three to five minutes after initial applicationRepeated applications should be made until the surface remains moist for aminute or so before solution disappearsRestrict usage of the treated surface for12 hoursPACKINGCETEXDLPDis available in 60 kg carboy or 250 kg barrelSTORAGEWhen stored in anairtight sealed container in normal conditions has a shelf life of 12 months
