About Concrete Finishing Aid

CETEX CFA (Concrete Finishing Aid) is colloidal silica based finishing aid which improves work ability for better finish of concrete surface. Due to rising demand of high strength concrete, the water cement ratio of concrete has been reduced drastically. Moreover, addition of dry shake harder absorbs the free moisture. This results in lower work ability for concrete finish. The problem is aggravated during adverse condition like sunny, dry or windy weather. Usually to increase the work ability, water is added on the surface which later results in voids in dry concrete. When CFA is applied on the surface, amorphous silica adds lubrication to the cement paste and increases the hydration of cement, resulting in higher strength and lower porosity.

Application Methods

• Apply diluted CFA by using a low-pressure sprayer. It can be applied through water tank of ride on trowels. Do not allow to pond or puddle on the surface.
• Apply on concrete/mortar surface during troweling, floating or finishing stage.
• It can be re-applied after finishing on wet concrete surface for better Quality & Durability.
• Application method and coverage may vary depending on concrete mix properties and requirement. For estimation of material requirement, one kg of CFA will suffice for 16 - 20 sq meter.
